This is not a book about dog training.

Moose would laugh at that — if dogs laughed. He might tilt his head, the way he does when something doesn’t quite make sense to him, and then wander off to find a sunny patch of floor.

This is a book about what happens when you pay attention to a creature who pays attention to everything. It’s about what I’ve learned — what my whole family has learned — from a dog who never once gave advice, never once told us what to do, and yet somehow always knew exactly what we needed.

His name is Moose. He sees everything. He hears everything. And he never, ever judges.
